Since our founding in 1882, the primary mission of the Knights of Columbus has been to protect families from the financial ruin caused by the death of the breadwinner.

With more than $86 billion of insurance in force and a full-time field force of more than 1,400 serving our members and their families, we are proudly fulfilling Fr. McGivney’s vision.

OTHER MINISTRIES AT OLOL
Father's Challenge Weekend OLOL

Many of our brother Knights are alumni of Father's Challenge Weekend, a retreat for fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and any man serving as a father figure.

This weekend, put on by other men of the parish (all dads themselves), is your opportunity to reflect, interact with other dads, and be challenged to grow in the most important job in your life.

A Stephen Minister is a well-trained caregiver who listens, cares, prays, encourages, and offers the love of Christ during a time of need.

Stephen Ministers are laypeople—Christian men and women—trained to provide one-to-one care to people experiencing a difficult time in life, such as grief, divorce, job loss, chronic or terminal illness, relocation, or separation due to military deployment.

BUILDING THE DOMESTIC CHURCH
Building the Domestic Church OLOL

Knights of Columbus has always been an organization dedicated to the well-being and support of Catholic family life. The family is the first and primary place where we experience and are formed in our Catholic faith.

By building upon our current programs and activities, the Knights of Columbus continues to promote the family as a ”domestic church” where husbands and wives, parent and children, grow in their knowledge and practice of the Catholic Faith.

In order to perform its important mission of evangelization, each family needs to find support in the sacramental life of the parish.
